    Hi,

Do you live in social housing? If you do get in touch with them and see if they a scheme like ours.

We have our gardening done for us as we live in a housing association adapted property, before they were our landlord the local council (Manchester) did the same. They only do the garden twice a year but it helps a lot and they also do the hedges.

Our local SS keep a list of volunteer gardeners for people who need help mowing the lawn etc - gardening is a service which they specifically won't allow you to purchase out of any support budget.

Also google for your local home improvement agency, usually attached to the council. They are a charity and they often have a subsidised gardening service, along with a handyperson service and others.

Also try local social charities, many offer a volunteer service to match small jobs that need doing with people that can't physically do them themselves. Otherwise as per post 2 Age concern do quite a lot of this sort of jobs for people for a fee.

Sometimes the local council will help, depends on the area. There's also the Scouts and other such organisations. You could also try Community Payback.
