Just got back, my local Wilkinsons has stickered 50% off on lots of seeds [not Wilko branded]

Still expensive, over a quid mainly, but maybe if you had your eye on some choice ones could be worth a look

Normal years they drop & drop to clearance at around 10p, but of course by then choice is more limited as MSE ers, snap up the ones they want

Bought a couple of packets that I really didn't need only yesterday - just because they were half price. Sure I'll find a space to grow some more pelargoniums somewhere...
Also some half-price hanging baskets - just under £2 for a 12" wire basket

    Thanks for the heads up.

Went in to wilkos for some different things. And as I was leaving saw a someone replenshing some seeds. So dumped husband where he was and swanned off to the seed section.

I bought a couple from the johnsons world collection. One was Cucmber Beth Alpha cucumbers. Best grown to 4-6 inches 40 seeds per average in a packet for 95p standard johnsons seeds 4-6 for £3.25

I also picked up from the world collection Kale but it is the Nero di Toscana. And that can still be planted until september and the packet averages 400 seeds for 85p :j

Will need to just keep popping in on my way home over the next week or so :rotfl:

Also bought wilkos own runners two different types half price. Have asked my mum to give me a list of the seeds she wants ;)

    Yours

Ha, I did that last year, now I have butternut squash climbing up my step railings, with 3 on it

Never grown them before, not eaten them come to that, but I bet my own grown bargain ones will be like ambrosia [as in Food of the Gods, not the rice :)]
