I tend not to with apple as upgrade in my dictionary means more intrusive and less flexible software.humfer wrote:On the same sort of subject - do people recommend upgrading to the new versions (6.1,,,,,etc) when prompted. i have taken every upgrade, but then if you want to use the new functionality (video etc) then you needed to.

Don't download if you're planning to use your computer any time soon.
Apart from taking ages to instal, it immediately (without asking) starts analysing your entire library for gapless playback (a new feature)
Takes ages if you've a big library0 -
tell me about it! getting the album art is quite intensive.
think i'll sue pc world too, this dual core just isn't making it faster

I like the browse by album with artwork option
Curiously it says it can't browse by Album covers on this computer.
Would be nice if they'd tell me why

yeah it does look really nice, be even better when most of the artwork is there!
do you just get a pop up with that error message in it?Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
No its just says in big bold
"Itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer"
Having just seen a screenshot of what coverflow is, it might be that my old laptop is too old for it - Would just be nice if they linked to more info.
More info on #7 for anyone that's interested.
Like that it updated my Ipod without a seperate Ipod Updater

Just to let you all know.. Itunes 7.0 looks and feels a lot more easier to use with a few extra features. Now you can see your "skip count" as well as "play count" - which is a useful little feature when it comes to listening to songs on albums and random ^-^
Also the start of next year, moves and tv programmes will be brought to the store in Itunes 7.0
Theres MUCH better library management... and .avi/video files are easier to play. It now feels like a proper video player rather than a slow piece of junk.
LOVE IT
