Live in Scotland? Be afraid

Options
Disclaimer, I live in England, so anything decided in Edinburgh will not affect me

However, the review of budget cuts in Scotland has suggested no "ring fencing" including, free personal care, bus passes, dentists, prescriptions etc. all are on the table for cuts or scrapping

Perhaps a few chickens coming home to roost? Or will Alex S just blame the English as usual? ;)

A non story, a review committee have suggested options. Doesn't mean any of them will be taken up.

Solution is simple, the English taxpayers should stop wasting their money on Domes, Olympic Games and that ridiculous wheel thing and contribute more to Scottish funding.
  • You forgot all the years we've had no increase in council tax.
If everything goes back to normal tomorrow, we've had a few good years and now we'll not.
For the first 15 years of my final salary pension, I contributed 5%. Now I contribute around 12%. Thems the breaks.
    Lifes too short to worry.

Everyone in Britain will face harder times so it's a non-story really.
