vacuum cleaners

I had a Vax wet and dry for about 20 years and loved it dearly, but when it died, instead of replacing it with an identical one, I was persuaded to go for a bagless model.

Now, the suction is very good, I'm not complaining about it, but the second time I used it it just died on me. I emptied it out ready to take it back to the shop, and it started working again. I've discovered that I need to empty it and clean the filters every time I use it. My old vax used to get its cloth bag emptied about every six months, with no loss of suction.

What do others think of bagless vacs?
