If anyone is still interested in this here is a link that tells you how to go about it http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/deidre/article523422.ece
Just a thought, don't know if it is true, but we might not all get the same list hence it being a small list. They can't send us a full list of every single person as it wouldn't be very good security wise I wouldn't have thought.*~* My life is a little mystery that I am still trying to solve*~*0 -
Hi
I would love to write to someone in the forces - can you send me the details please?
Thanks0 -
hi, after reading a letter in dear diedre that really pulled on my heart strings i decided to write to penpals in the forces/soldiers/etc.
anyway got an email back from the sun and you can do it all online dont even need to post the letter you just type it and send it through a website, called e-blueys
so if anyone has a spare ten mins and wants to brightne up the day of someone far away and feeling fed up, PM me and ill send you the list of people who wana penpal and how to do it, its really easy and its FREE
hi im hoping you can help me in trying to find a penpal, after reading your letter i thought it is a good way to pass a bit of time at night as i am a single mum and enjoy writing to people, and think it would be nice to pass some time for the men in our forces. Have joined the site e-blueys but not to sure how to use it or how i get contacts to write to. my email address is jh1234@live.com thank you. joanne x0 -
Here is what is says on the sun website:
"Anyone else in the Forces who would like to be added to the list, or anyone who would like to become a penpal to someone in the Services overseas, just email me at problems@deardeidre.org and put Forces Penpal in the subject line."
Hope that helps :lovethougLife is for living and love is.....forgiving :beer:0 -

This thread is now 3 years old so I doubt that the OP still has a current list. It may be a better idea to email the SUN newspaper as other posters have said as they often compile lists of people in the forces looking for pen pals while they are away. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0 -
