SONY DV 620 DVD unlocking

Does anyone have a "FREE" procedure to unlock my Sony DV 620 dvd player. It is quite old but was one of the more expensive ones when new. It doesn't play burned dvds at all but it will play one of my region 1 imports but not another region 1?? Bizarre. can anyone help. If not looks like I'll have to buy a new cheap dvd player.

As far as I know Sony dont do a DV-620 are you sure its not the Sharp DV-620?

Asda do the Pacific DVD player (around £15) that plays burned DVD's, all regions and MP3's

Sounds to me like it is struggling to read media.

There are plenty of DVD players out there that can be unlocked and will almost play a piece of toast if you put it in the right way up, but it would be nice to have a clue as to what features you want it to have before making a recommendation.
