Fair Quote or Not???

Dear MSE's,
I have been given a quote just shy of £6k for the following works:
render/replaster kitchen - inc ceiling.
Dry-line storage c/board
remove ceiling paper and skim in entire house
paint the house
inclusive of all materials bar the paint.
My house is a 2-bed terrace.
The person comes highly recommended and i do get a good feeling when i speak to him. However i know nothing about this type of work - except i am useless at it.
Is this quote fair or too high?
