ebay have set a collection agency on me..

help, i was banned from ebay for selling copyrighted goods (lazytown tv program dvds) but in fact mine were original dvds, i suspected that I was being repore d on by another seller but didnt have enough proof of this accept that i had people bidding an on my items and not paying. and i was under cutting power seller. anyway i had three strikes and they suspended, i kept writing to ebay syaing i was selling originals and what proof did they have, no replies. anyway so i kept relisting my dvds then they banned me for keep listing them. and I was selling originals. i did however report a couple of people for selling blatant copies (even though a lot of people seemed happy with copies he was getting goodfeedback etc).

ebay sent me a request for overdue fees, i said that i will pay for listing fees 11.18pds but not fvf because since being banned the sales were not completed. so thatw as unfair, i must have sent 35 emails and copied myself in as proof i had sent them, i just got back robotic replies saying if i pay the fees my account would be reinstated however i didnt wan to be a part of ebay any longer since i felt betrayed by them since many sellers were selling copies and they did nothign to stop it. again no proper responses. i tried to pay for my fees but they had blocked my credit card, i asked fo rit to be lifted and they said they wouldt or couldnt and that i should find a friend that has a card and pay that way, anyway i got home and they have sent me a email saying too late i was given enough chances and they have sent a collection agency to collect the fees and no doubt adding some fees aswell.

i'm really annoyed i never sold copied dvds, it never stated they were copies and i even tried to pay them as i say i have emails to prove this. what do i do now i want to fight it but there a massive company that have money to hand to whoever they want and i seem to be on losing battle.

apologies for the long mail, but i feel better to get it off my chest

plus my wife is worried when i'm at work shes going to get a big guy turning up demanding money and entry to the house.

From what ive read of your situation i would suggest this, pay your ebay fees as quiclky as possible, im sure that your wife will welcome the relief.

thanks but how can i when my only cred card and bank card are on hold, ebay is robotic, no personal replies, you can see form the response on their mails that they have not even read my email. my fees are 17.00pds and its not like i havent wanted to pay them.

have you tried getting in touch with the ebay live help?
this is the first time that ive heard of ebay stopping a credit card that wasnt stolen or being mis-used, you could also speak to paypal on the telephone and explain that you want to pay your outstanding fees.
ask your bank to send you another debit card and re-register your ebay account.

I am all for standing your ground on principle, but for the money involved, it is not worth it, and if the collection agency start adding fees, then things will get really bent out of shape
