I need to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse for a pc! Does anybody have any recommendations for a decent one?
Thanks
Katie

Logitech MX5500 here, can't fault it at all.

Thanks! I'll look it up! I have no clue at all what i'm looking for!0

That is rather pricey though... even at £85 (cheapest i saw on quick search)
Depends how keen you are on all the features - you could, for example, spend <£30 on "Microsoft desktop 3000", but this isn't a recomm. as I dont have one.

It's for my boss but I just need one that will work quite far away from the pc and won't break in the middle of a presentation!0

If the price tag is a bit strong for the OP (or she doesn't need/want all the features), she could look at the MX3200 which is £42.99 inc delivery & VAT on Amazon.
Both the kids have one and about the only thing I can fault them on is the mouse doesn't have a charging cradle if you decide to use rechargeable batteries.
As far as battery life goes, the keyboard lasts around 6 months and the mouse lasts around 3 months when using Duracell batteries.
Even when the low battery warning does appear on either of them, you still have a good week left before it stops working completely (which is more than enough time IMO).
They come with a 5 year warranty as standard, and if you do have to use the warranty (which I have on one of them), it is a very quick & painless process which sees the replacement product on your doorstep in a couple of days.
As a double bonus, Logitech will start your 5 year warranty from scratch if they do replace a product.
PS
I have no affiliation whatsoever with Logitech, I'm just impressed with what they build and the after sales service.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -

I can also confirm from personal experience that the keyboard/mouse will still be working long after you can't see the screen where distance is concerned.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
Logitech MK250 (£29-Tesco) has a 2.4 Ghz-10 Meter range, and battery life of 6 Months. after numerous wireless keyboard\mouse priducts, I have found this to be the best one other than going Bluetooth.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
