Refers to an accident a few months ago, where other driver rammed wifes car when it was parked in the car park.
Contacted insurance and had work done. Didnt have to pay excess because it seemed open and closed case.
Then they've sent me this letter. Do I need to do anything?
Surely, since I've given them my statement etc its up to them to play hardball with the other insurers and get them to cough up?

Has the letter asked you to do anything? Or is it just to inform you that liability is being disputed?0

Got plenty of witnesses if needed. Just wonder if its worht contacting the 3rd party myself and getting things moving.
It was actually a young girl driving her dads car. When I spoke to him after the accident, I think his daughter did understimate the amount of damage she caused - so maybe thats why hes playing funny sods (it cost almost £2000 to repair). i.e. hes seen cost of repair that his insurance is due to stump and thinks we're taking the p**s.
Maybe its time to stop being nice and tell him I've got witnesses to say his daughter lost control of the car because she was on her mobile at the time !!! (she begged wife not to tell him this).0 -

If your renewal is due soon you may have to pay without full NCB till it's sorted. Also maybe the excess. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -

In that case let them sort it. No need to get involved with any aggro with the third party. (It will be their insurer stalling) (Does your insurer know about the part played by the mobile phone?)0 -

Not mentioned the mobile phone to insurer. Didnt think it was that relevant.
Car was parked with no one in it. She rammed into the back of it for whatever reason.0 -
It's always relevant if you consider a third party was committing an offence at the time of a collision. (And it can get the police involved - any conviction against the third party is always useful to have!)0

Wish I had now. Wife was there at the time and the young girl burst into tears....
Next time someone rams me I aint gonna be so nice....0
