in Techie Stuff
i have one of these in my car (put in by previous owner ) which up till last week was working fine.It is now coming up with "unregistered sim " message. I have done nothing out of the ordinary to get this message and have tried taking out the sim and replacing it.As its all wired up to hands free etc ,i don't really want to just junk it and wondered if anyone else had any experience of these old phones

What sort of contract is the SIM on? If PAYG, is it used to make outbound calls regularly? Some PAYG providers will cease service if a chargeable call is not made on a SIM during a given period - with some this can be as short as 3 months.
Have you tried swapping in a SIM from another phone?0
