god i hope not. I have done the maths and after fees and alike, i will not be left with enough to cover all debts anyway, if we complete and that is the case there will be no money for here to chase anyway. Thank for your advice guys

I am disappointed that lying about payment of the debt without any intention of following through has been proposed as a solution. Can anyone else suggest something a bit more constructive than deceit and the risk of the OP having legal action taken against them?

it sounds like my options are rather limited:
    1) give her what she wants
    2) go through a solicito
    3) lie to her

See a solicitor. They'll give you half an hour free advice.

Isn't this the best advice given on this thread yet?

Once you have tried to split the debts fairly, if the figures in this case are correct it does not look a difficult sum to work out, and one person tries to take an unfair advantage then you fight fire with fire or take a big hit! As for this too good to be true cash buyer, have they had a survey yet? There are threads on these boards when cash buyers have had a nasty last minute bombshell to drop on vendors they sense need a quick sale.
