    Soolin,

I would write a letter of complaint to RM, suggest they send your PO lady on additional training and ask them to investigate the overcharging (they should take this seriously as it could be deemed as fraud).

Just got back from the main Post office, lovely ladies in there took virtually all of my items as large letters. I had one that I thought was a bit tight going through the slot so I asked them to check with their gauge and they just said there was no need as they did a lot of it 'by eye' and could usually tell what went through and what didn't.

I estimated that in total on my 17 parcels I saved just over £6. I took them back some biscuits later on as I can't believe how helpful they were considering I went in right at the last moment.

My PO lady will not stamp a COP unless she re weighs the package. A couple of times before I've stuck stamps on something with the intention of chancing it to the post box, but at the last moment taken it to the PO instead. On those occasions she will only take the package through the PO window if she confirms that the postage is correct.

Ooh, sounds like you have got a right little hitler there, shes definately overstepping the mark I reckon...

Maybe Ive been spoilt as my PO will stamp a COP without seeing a single item on it. The other day I forgot my completed COPs and she took all the parcels and said to just bring th COPs in the next day and she would stamp them....I could have entered anything onto them..but didnt.

That's what my local is like. They usually have a look that I am actually posting something, but sign the COP without any extensive checking or counting. Only occasionally one of the ladies is in a mood, but that just makes her talk really slowly, partronising like you're deaf or stupid.

I wish I worked in that post office. :(
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
