How long/how many times?

My hubbby won a shortlist comp in April. A few weeks after the WEM after many t/c's of chasing co up got scooter, glove, jacket and hemet arrived. (Original WEM was 19th April).

On 27th May I emailed to ask where the blu-ray disc was? Was told it wasn't anything to do with her but the PR dept but was told it would be with us shortly.

So waited patiently.

Got to 19th July and still no Harry Brown so went on shortlist site and emailed them and got an email back next day asking for info on comp and date it finished and it would be looked into to and as of today still no reply (or joy) and not sure whether to hold on and carry on waiting or email the man again to see what is happening.

Can someone please give me some advice.

Many thanks

daresay this has been passed through several people and some have been away. i'd phone and try and locate a person rather than email wich may be passed over.

    Hi CUTESMILE,

You're probably not going to like my reply, but here goes :D

was the comp you won and if I've read your post correctly, you've received everything except the blu-ray disc.

I'd still be doing cartwheels over winning the scooter and wouldn't even have given the missing disc another thought.

Yes, it was supposed to be part of the prize, but I think it's being a wee bit greedy to keep on hankering after a disc.

I agree with Walwin - I know there is a case to made that a prize is a prize and you should receive all constituent parts offered but the prize on offer was really good and you apparently have the best part of it; unless I was fanatical about this film, I doubt I would have missed it.

  • I too am in agreement with walwin & chrissie57.

I know when prizes fail to show up it plays on your mind but I'd let this one go.
It's just not worth your time worrying & chasing up.

In my 10 yrs of comping I've let many a prize go ( only small ones ) :)

You won a scooter & you want a disc?

I won a range cooker from an ITV comp but because they couldn't get it up my stairs (I'm in a flat), I had to make do with a smaller & cheap £750 :p one instead of the £1,600 as promised. I was just thrilled to have won such a great prize. Let it go ;)

Well, firstly congratulations on the win Cutesmile. You've been very patient and persistent but I'm inclined to agree with the others, in that, you have received the main part of your prize - is a blu-ray disc really worth any more hassle?

WOW, what a heck of a win!

I won a Dark Knight goody bag complete with DVD and could not wait to get my hands on it. 2 and a half years later roughly, I am still waiting! The emails have died off and yeah, I suppose I've given up.

Actually have not seen the film either! I guess somewhere in the back of my head I refuse to rent or buy it since I theoretically own it!!! :)
