Thursday 29th July - What DFW things have you done today?

:)When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :)

    Morning all!
Still couldn't see a thread on the go so started one off - maybe the double thread yesterday has put someone off starting one?

Today I'll be taking my sis to the museum for something free to do. Apparently there's free disabled parking outside too so hopefully it'll be a LSD if not a NSD.

    My list.....
    • Get sis up and ready for the day
    • Walk dog for free exercise
    • Go to museum for free
    • All food from stores
    • Check banks
    • Get OH to give me his half of the fridge money
    • Mow lawn if the rain stops
    • Write shopping list for tomorrow - trying to stick to £30 budget this week
    • Clean patio door windows
    • Phone pub restaturant to book table for Saturday for the mum and mum in law visit:eek: - they really get on and want to meet up when my mum visits on the weekend
    • Do any surveys that come - got chucked out of loads yesterday
    • Read library book
    • Stay in tonight and watch the soaps - Eastenders and Emmerdale good at the moment and Corrie's hotting up! Sad I knwo but it keeps me off the streets!
    • Check ebay - nothing happening so far
That's it for now - have a good day!

There's a tiger loose in Jo'burg at the moment......it escaped when being taken to the zoo yesterday. Hope the girls find what they want :D

    Morning All
I survived my night alone :p And it is gloriously sunny here :D

    So today I have/will
    • finished my shrug finally last night :j So have spent a couple of hours choosing a free pattern on-line to knit my next item. What I want to knit wasn't available, so I'm going to adapt another pattern....I'm getting quite adventurous now :undecided
    • sent a couple of long e-mails to those I owe - some more to be done
    • bought hair dye yesterday - it's the 1st non-salon dye I've attempted in years. _pale_
    • will do 15 mins on the cross trainer again today
    • supper from the menu plan - it has really worked this week, I'm beginning to get back into good habits
    • Almost a NSD, I will be going to the rubbish dump/recycling centre and we tip the guys who unload our car a couple of rand... (11 to the £ at the mo) It would be silly not to get rid of all those bottles, JUST to make it a NSD.....
    • watered where my seeds were sown - nothing showing yet, am I being impatient? It has been 2 days :rotfl:
    • read 2 newspapers on-line

Have a great day everyone :A
