i have just had a very heated conversation with the solicitor, and he said its called back to back selling and there isnt anything i can do about it,but like i told him if he had advised me of this practice then i would not have gone through with the sale, as he has dealt with this company before and he said how was he to know this company had this intention, and as i pointed out that if he had explained it is was a possibility i would not have sold ,i am now going to get in touch with the land registry to see what they think, even if it is all legal i would have thought it was up to the solicitor to furnish me with all these facts before allowing me to sell ,0

Quite an old article, but it seems like this is what has happened to you:

The conveyancing process has a good breakdown of how it should have gone.
Hard to tell now whether it was illegal or not. I would recommend getting in touch with the regulatory body for the solicitors, either the CLC or the SRA
As a general rule of thumb Estate Agents are not really on your side! So never go with someone/something they suggest.0 -

How many EA valuations did you get when you put it on the market and what were they? What have similar properties in your area sold for recently?
There are at least two sides to every story so were you duped into selling for less than it was worth or has the new owner paid more than it is worth... ?Every generation blames the one before...

That's what I thought - but the LR only shows one transaction."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
