How much will I get?

Hey.
Hope someone can clarify this for me.
My household income is below the threshold amount of £17,500. I therefore should be entitled to 100% of all support.
Now I also heard that if I get full support on my grant then my loan amount reduces or something similar.
So I am just wondering if someone could explain how much I will receive on an annual, term and monthly basis from my support payments?
I know they are paid each term, and I will also receive a bursary of £1300 from my University.
Thanks

Thanks for the calculator link.0 -
If your household income is less than £17,500, as well as the £1,300 from your University you'll be entitled to the full £2,700 maintenance grant (paid termly in three installments).
You will also be able to take-up a tuition fee loan of £3,000 or the cost of your fees which ever is the lower which will be paid directly to your University on your behalf.
Maintenance loans depend on your circumstances (and paid termly in three installments), if you are living away from your parents and studying in London you'll receive around £3,970, if our are living away from your parents outside of London you'll receive around £3,205 if you are living with your parents and studying anywhere you'll receive around £2,215 (these are all £1,200 lower than the full values as you are receiving some of the maintenance loan as a grant instead).

Ok, I phones SFD today and I couldnt get through at first per my other thread in this forum. Some, fault with the telephone number.
When I did get through I was told that their computer systems were down and i was to ring back tomorrow. *sigh*
Anyway, I contacted my local LEA because I have just received my "Assessment of Entitlement to Student Finance" letter.
I am a bit confused regarding what I am entitled too. I hope that someone on here can help clarify this for me. Perhaps someone who understands this letter and has a copy themself for reference?
On the second page of the letter (Financial Notification) it has 3 sections.
1) Tuition Fees
2)Maintenance Loan
3) Supplementary Grants
Now after reading this section, I am entitled to the full tuition fees, a maintenance loan of £3282.00 and a Maintenance Grant of £2700.
Now my first question is, what is the maxium Maintenance Loan available in general? I am entitled to the £3282, but is that the maxium? Or is that the amount reduced by £1200 as I am also entitled to the Grant?
Basically I am just wondering whether that the £3282 will be paid along with the grant of £2700 or does £1200 need to be taken away from the loan? The letter would indicate that I should receive both at those amounts.
Secondly, on the third page of the letter, it states "based on your entitlement and the loans requested, you will be paid the following loan amounts". Now here it only lists my Loan and the Tuition Fee Loan, the grant of £2700 is not listed?
This is where I am getting confused. Should the grant that is mentioned on the second page not also be listed here?
I am sorry if my post is a bit confusing

Actually re-reading AddieH' thread, I think that the £3282 is the reduce loan amount as I am receiving the grant also? That correct?
If someone has any idea re my second question it would be appreciated too

I'm puzzled by the £3,382 figure as all of the maximum rates are rounded to the nearest £5 and as you correctly say if you are receiving the full maintenance grant (£2,700) your maintenance loan is reduced by £1,200. So you should be getting the full maintenance loan minus £1,200.
By my arithmetic there's no way something rounded to the nearest £5 minus exactly £1,200 could end with a 2??
Can you answer these questions?
1. Are you studying in London or somewhere else?
2. Are you living away from your parents?
And on the last point I don't think so if they've specifically said "loans" and the grant isn't a loan it's "non-repayable".0 -
Thanks for the reply.
That figure of £3282 is printed on my SFD letter.
I am living away from parents too.
If that helps? I think the £3282 is the loan less the £1200 as the maximum loan is £4K+ ?0
