Redex Injector Treatment

What would happen if I put a whole bottle in with half a tank of petrol?

On the label it says to put half the bottle in with a full tank.

:D

I did this last month, didn't want to fill up tank just to use this stuff.

My car is still running if that's any use to you, Lee.

Don't think it does any harm at all, just the mixture of the stuff will be stronger, not reallya problem :)

Thanks for that. Good to know. I've used the stuff in the past but always followed the label.

In the 70's I used to clean out the bores of my MGB by pouring straight Redex into the carb. Got LOADS of smoke for a few seconds but it seemed to work.
I now run a car with a 2.9 V6 cologne engine and run it nearly empty then bung a bottle of Redex into a gallon of fuel and run that.
Does seem to run sweeter. I do it about once a year

Essentially like filling a pint glass half full with squash instead of a quarter, it'll end up too concentrated because there's too much in there.

I doubt it'll make any difference but honestly why take the risk?

And it could give you the squits, in a verbal or monetary sense, ;);)

theres probably a large margin for this kind of thing , after all small cars have fairly small tanks and big cars have bigger tanks

id guess you'l just get stronger cleaning , but o2 sensors and cats can be very sensitive to this kind of thing

Diesel bottle says half a bottle for a full tank (50 litres).

If you have a smaller tank you would put less in, Or a full bottle in a 100L tank.
