Bought laptop, what else do I need?

Sorry for starting a new thread, the old one was an arguement.
I just purchased a laptop which I'm picking up later.

Acer Aspire
1.7Ghz
1024mb Ram
80GB h/d
DVD-RW
15.4" bright widescreen display
10/100 ethernet
802.11 b/g wireless
3 usb ports
£499.99

Thought it was a good deal. Couldn't find it cheaper.

Anyway, I am gonna want it wireless at home. Already have a PC on broadband. Am gonna get a adsl modem router, and sort it that way. My PC has an ethernet card fitted, so that will stay wired.

Is there anything else I need like cables or anything that I haven't thought of? Does the router have to be anything special? Is there anything to look for like speeds?

Will it come with all the cables I need? Will I just replace the modem tiscali gave me, with this one, then plug the pc into it, and the laptop will pick up the wireless part of it?

Yes it will come with everything that you need. You will have to enter your username/password to connect to your ISP and then follow the instructions to set up the wireless security while connected to the router using an Ethernet cable.
