Anyone used 'thepropertyman.net'?

Has anyone heard of, or even better, used thepropertyman.net? They seem too good to be true. They promise to sell your house within 3 months or buy it from you at the market value. They charge 0.5% plus £120 for schedule and marketing. He's coming out to see me tomorrow and it woul be helpful if I had any knowledge of them beforehand. I think they might just be a West of Scotland company. Thanks.

I wouldn't go near them - their judgement of market value may be vastly different to yours.
There have been similar things like this mentioned on Watchdog type programs where you pay money up front for a valuation then its nowhere near what they expected.
I'd speak to a few estate agent firsts about a free valuation, then you'll have a better idea of figures.0 -
I suspect the promise to buy it off you at market valuation is their valuation not the market's, probably 30% less than you could expect through a normal agent that won't charge you to market the property.
I would research the value of your property independently (get some proper agents in and check local pricing of other properties sold in your area) and obtain a full copy of the terms and read thoroughly before signing anything.0 -
Thanks. I do have an idea what my house is worth and i was planning on getting the valuation prior to signing up. My main concern was that in 3 months time they've gone bust, or just refuse to pay. I probably will go the conventional route but I'll listen to what he has to say tomorrow. Ta.0
