Not sure how far afield they work, but Ward Thomas have always been very good for us in west London - three moves in 2 years, not a thing broken, and when they weren't the lowest quote, they split the difference.
I was so pleased I tipped the 3 guys £50.

I would advise you not to book until you have exchanged though!
Get a few quotes and check avaliability and when you get the green light, confirm the booking.
Good luck - I am also hoping to exchange this week!0 -
Make sure you use a firm who is a member of the B.A.R (British association of removers). If you use a firm who isn't a member you end up risking a removal firm that may turn up late, or not at all, may damage all your goods, try to charge you extra on the day etc. etc.
Get several quotes and don't book until you have exchanged. In fact, ring up the removal firm of your choice when you are about to exchange and ask them when they can fit you in, you can then arrange to exchange on that day.0 -
prices vary greatly so get lots of quotes and ask if they can show you any recommendations from satisfied customers.0
