I have just found 1000 indian rupees in a drawer.
Please don't tell me they have issued new notes lately!!!
It's probably about 5 years since I was there.

1000 rupees is only around £14 so it's not a fortune.
If you are planning on going back, take it with you.
If they've changed the notes, you've not lost a lot.
Or if you know somebody who's going soon, give it to them.
Indian rupee is supposed to be a closed currency so you shouldn't really bring it out with you (but lots of people do), I don't think anywhere here will change it for you - and even if they did you'd probably get peanuts.0 -
Go to trip advisor or holiday truths webs site - Goa board is the best for UK tourism and see if anyone who lives near to you is going on Holiday. Do a swap with them.0

Thanks, glad to know it's not a fortune! I am sure they were worth more than that then. I didn't realise I had them as I usually spend all that sort of currency before leaving.travelover0
