Help / Grants for those not on benefits?

Are there any grants / help out there that people who don't receive benefits (e.g. income support, jsa etc) can apply for?

    for what....?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

    Anything!
I notice most of the grants mentioned by Martin in his article are for home improvements etc.

You'll be lucky. Everyone knows, the harder you work the less you're entitled to. Sit on your back-side all day every day and they'll throw money at you.

It does seem as if all help is directed towards those that don't work.

Although I work, I am by no means comfortable. After paying my bills and mortgage, it's a struggle and I thought that I would investigate whether there was anything I could apply for to help.

Yes, you only need to have a crappy 37 hour week job and then you lose most if not all entitlements to various benefits and although you may earn more, you end up with nothing by the time you've paid all the bills and costs of actually getting to work
