Unfair feedback!

Hi everyone,
i sold an item nearly month ago.It was sold for £22.I described it as ''USED''.

Used: An item that has been previously used. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended.
TOM TOM CARD
GENUINE
GB MAPS
USED

Buyer left me neutral feedback saying  ''The seller described the card as new..previously used more like(rubbish)!!!''
what a lie!I dont know what to do now.I am bit angry. He could contact me if he wasnt happy about it. I would refund his money.
i wonder how can i get this feedback changed?what about if i contact to ebay.I really dont wanna contact buyer
thanks

  • not much you can do except post a follow-up saying "Item was clearly advertised as used". Remember to post it on both yours and the buyers feedback.

You could put in a revise feedback request. Drop him a polite email explaining that your auction stated that the card had been previously used, with a link to the auction (and maybe cut and paste the relevant bits from the auction), then say that you would appreciate it if he would consider revising his feedback in light of his mistake (obviously word it nicely ;) ). If he agrees, fill in the revise feedback request form on Ebay and bob's your mother's brother.

Neutral FB doesn't effect your overall rating. Ebay wont remove it as they havent broken any FB rules. You could phone them (the buyer) and apologise and ask if there is anything you can do to help. It's amazing how actually speaking to someone can change an attitude. Personally I would offer them a refund (if it's low value I wouldn't even bother with a return) if they return pay the return costs. If they refuse this just reply in a matter of fact and polite way. It wont put most buyers off

It's worth having a look at your seller dashboard to see if any 1 or 2s have appeared on your DSRs. These can do more damage than the FB

confused0024.gifWhy give the buyer a positive feedback thats just silly.
  • I was assuming she'd already left the buyer positive feedback when he paid.....and was suggesting a follow-up to that.

I had a snake tank on eBay last year. Quite big and glass and didnt want to post it incase it got damaged.

Anyway, this person bought it after a million and one questions and I finally agreed to post it.
It arrived damaged and they left me a neutral...!

They cannot revise 'down' only the same or up.

As for the 'new' bit. There was a glitch on Ebay some weeks ago where the 'new' description was showing when it shouldn't have been. It could be that he saw that?
