Back in May i had problems with my internet connection and called BT several times before the problem was sorted, during one of the calls (late evening) the guy said do you want broadband for £8.99/month/ 12 month contract, i bit his hand off.
Just had my online bill emailed to me and i have been charged for my broadband as normal but also 2 other amounts for Home IT Call - 12 month contract, one amount for period just passed and another amount for next 3 months.
I called them and spoke to manager who said he would listen to calls i made back in May which he did and he said I definately agreed to Home IT Call services 12 month contract at £8.99/month, i did not i said the guy said to me broadband so he is away again to listen to call to which i replied thats ok but i'm not getting to listen to it, i just need to take your word for it even though i know what the guy said to me otherwise i would not have taken it out.
Sorry for rambling but if he comes back with the same response is there anyone else i can contact to get it cancelled and not incur cancellation charges, very misleading.
Thanks

Me again the manager has since called back and told me there was no mention of broadband in the conversation which i told him was a lie, am i allowed to ask to hear the conversation?
Don't know what to do, not having a good day at all0 -
By law you can request a copy of the call to be sent to yourself if you get the date and time... But you must do this in writing (I do not know the address). BT may also charge you to do this.
One question though... Why would a manager lie to you about this? It isn't the manager's money in question here it is a massive companies he works for. If he listened to the call and heard you'd been lied to you think he'd admit that an apologise rather than put up a front on the matter.0
