Are we expected to decorate?

Options
We are moving out of our rented flat next week. We're in the process of going through the inventory to make sure that everything is where it was when we moved in to save any confusion.

However, in all rooms the decor is described as "fresh". The walls are all painted, however, they certainly weren't freshly decorated when we moved in (you could see differences in colour of paint where previous pictures had hung on the wall etc). There are no marks and absolutely no damage, but I'd guess given we've there 16 months that the paint work is even less "fresh" than it was when we moved in just with general wear and tear.

So my question is - are we expected to decorate before we move out?

xx

Absolutely not assuming you haven't used the walls for art murals or similar!

    No.

Decor will not be "fresh" and will be normal wear and tear.

Dust your skirting boards though (And spray a bit of polish just before the inspection and then it'll smell like you've been busy cleaning)

lol! We will do - the mammoth clean has already begun! But as it's not being inspected 'til the 5th the smell will defo have worn off by then! Thanks for the tip! :D
