Annual mileage
I've just been sent a leaflet aimed at "tempting" me to buy/lease a brand new Peugeot. I glanced at it before consigning it to the re-cycling bag and was surprised, not at the price, but at the annual mileage-6667! Other deals were even less, at 6000!
Is this typical mileage?

No. I believe the average mileage is 10-12k.
It's an offer that might tempt city based owners who don't travel far afield but for the general run of drivers it is too small an allowance.0 -
It's typical mileage to make a lease price look tempting. Audi were running one which made a new A6 look very cheap. Smallprint had a mileage limit of just 3,000 miles.0

Average is around the 10,000 mark.
Although my mother's brand new Kia Picanto only did 1400 miles in her first year of owning it!

The new Special Edition Corsa currently on the TV adverts at £250 pcm has a mileage limit of 6000 I think.0

This post has nothing to do with users personnel usage, just what the leaser allows without a hike.
. You use it more you pay for it.
Just buy a car it's far cheaper.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Almost every lease deal advertised is based on 6k miles. Its to attract people in; they either than pay extra for more miles or incur the mileage penalty. A few dealers do advertise at 10k but the majority of lease deals offered are 6k per year.0

I've no intention of leasing a car-it wouldn't be suitable for me because of the high mileage I do. But I might be interested in buying one of these low mileage cars when the lease is up!0 -
Oh god, a Peugeot!
Avoid it, do NOT touch.
Peugeot have cr*ppy engines in them!0
