removing bad odour :(

Options
Over the last couple of days I have noticed a strong smell in the gym but didnt know where it was coming from. Then my other half suggested I take a look at the freezer..... he was right:( unfortunately someone has accidentally unplugged the spare freezer we keep in there to keep our overstock of frozen foods (luckily there wasnt an awful lot, but there was fish!) Everything had completely defrosted and had to be thrown. There was quite a bit of frozen fish in there and this was where the resulting smell was coming from. I have cleaned the freezer, sprayed it with antibacterial spray, left the door open (still unplugged) but the smell is still lingering....

Any ideas on how I can remove it? I have tried air freshener, leaving window and doors to the gym open but the smell wont go.

Thanks

    3 options

1 bicarbonate of soda, mix with water and wash all round inside, and leave a bowl of it in the middle and leave with door shut for 24hrs

2 put Half a lemon in the freezer,

3 chargoal, place in freezer for 24hrs, not my idea, seen it on a tv program about removing odours from cars. NOTE: real chargoal not the brickettes you can buy.
