Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Hello all

£10 added to the pot..received from TCB for referring my boss to the site :D

Sounds like my temp contract will be extended (it was due to finish end of March).. Just waiting for signature from the management board..
In the meantime, I am still applying for external permanent roles.. I have currently got 2 in the pipeline that I am waiting to hear from.. Good jobs are few and far between and there is so much competition..:o

    Hope you are all well..

You be careful now Froggy - what with that TCB referral and now this they might question your professional ethics :rotfl:

Well done on the savings, you're building up a good chunk. What's your current target?

    Hey Ed

Good to hear from you.. Ethics? What ethics?!?!? :rotfl:As long as the money ends up in my pocket, it's all good..:D

As to the current target, according to my spreadsheet, it should be £20,343.87..before I can potentially start looking for a new place, so there is still a good chunk of work before that..:o

Hope your job search is going well and you soon find something good.. in the meantime, please keep looking after Mrs Ed and that wee baby Ed :A

    Morning!

    Friday at last :j

Weather is dreadful out there..:o However it's payday.. time to top up the pot.. So it's £150 making its way there.. A bit less than usual, as I have to cover car insurance, MOT, service and cambelt change before the summer..

Work wise, still the same.. One of the jobs I applied for went down the drain.. The employer decided that they did not know if they wanted someone or not.. In the meantime, another opportunity popped up yesterday, so I have applied for it.. The long patience game continues..

    Have a great weekend :T
