Hi Froggy, just read your diary (am stuck in car with sleeping small person!). So sorry you a having a rough time. I was made redundant a few years ago and it was horrible but the job I got as a result is soooooo much better. I hope that you find the same.

Wrt energy a friend was telling me about an energy monitor that they have that literally tells them how much they are using every day. Maybe something like that could be useful.

I hope things are feeling better soon.

    Morning all

Thanks all for your kind messages..

Unfortunately I am not due any redundancy payout (less than 2 years service).. Spoke to landlord and he is not flexible.. It would be a year lease extension which does not suit me..

I am making some good progress on a new plan of action, thanks to great friends ;)

There should be some news in the next couple of weeks..

As Ed said it, I am a survivor, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger..

Have a great weekend, enjoy the sunshine..

Oh Froggy. I am so very sorry to hear your latest disasters. It's so not fair. I wish there was something I could do. :(

Will look forward to hearing what your plan of action is. :)

    Hello all :j

I am back, after a few days in France to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday.. All went well, very tiring though..

Now back at work and trying to focus on a brighter future..

I have started applying for new jobs, so please keep your fingers crossed for me..

I have set aside the money I need to pay off my car in February next year, so I won't touch it and it will be there when needed.. I can't wait, no more monthly payment and more money in the savings pot :D

I have a bit of cashback due from TCB but not on payable status as yet :o

I have managed to argue my case with my energy provider and won, they have credited me back what I did not owe them, it is now much more reasonable..

I have also heard from the old mortgage company and cheque is on its way (very slow snail mail I expect ) for CCA regs non compliance.. That will add a few hundred pounds to the coffers..

    Hope everybody is well?

Great news! How did you convince the energy company?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I threatened to send the enforcers aka GG & Tilly round :rotfl:

Honestly, just proved to them it was not feasible for me to use so much energy..

    Hi Froggy,

Just read about your impending redundancy - so sorry to hear that. As Edinburgher said you are a survivor and I am keeping fingers and toes crossed that you find a good position.

    Have a good day,
