Were the police after money saving tips?
Hi Katsu :j
Its all work related.. Looks like some of my clients are acting fraudulently.. I needed to press charges against them locallly, then needed to instruct lawyers in the US..
I quite enjoy that part of my job though..

Afternoon all! :j
Forgive me, I have sinned....but I have a new toy.. a brand new Apple I Mac
.. Our laptop was about to die.. RIP...
The offers online were not great (very low cashback, no discount codes) so we ventured in store to try our luck.. We managed to blag more than £250 worth of discount, as well as free magic trackpad, and keyboard with numeric keypad (the standard one does not have a numeric keypad).. We also got a wireless HP printer half price, free one to one membership, and extended 3 year warranty..
If we had paid everything full price it would have been at least £400 more expensive..
Nevertheless, as you can imagine the July OP will take a serious battering, and at best we will balance the books..
However, we managed to keep the standard keyboard & wireless mouse, and I have already sold them through Amazon for a £35 profit... :rotfl:
I am very happy with my new toy, its so much faster & easier to use than the old laptop..
We are spending the day preparing for the holidays next week.. Think Princess wants to hit the shops this afternoon..
Hope everybody is well?
Cheers

I think being mortgage free has to be a balance and the odd 'treat' won't hurt.
One of my treats was a 47" TV.
I think having the odd treat spurred me on even more to clear the mortgage. If that is your treat then Princess should hit the shops as well. Then knuckle down again in August.
Hope you are both well

Hey Froggy and Princess
Hope you are both doing ok
Treats sound a good plan! No idea what an Imac is but it sounds like some kind of exciting boy toy !
Well done on making a profit for the old bits n bobs too!0 -
My brother has a Apple Mac thing and if I need to check something quickly on it, it can take me forever! I'm more of a PC kinda girl
Our treat was a Chinese takeaway last nighteven then it only came to £8 as their portions are so big - 1 egg fried rice, 1 sweet and sour chicken + a bag of chips = 2 meals plus leftovers for OH's lunch today.
BIG spenders, us :rotfl:0 -
MOOC, I have followed your advice, and we have just come back from the Trafford Centre.. Treated OH to a few shops, and she came back with a few bags full, and got soaked in the process.. Pretty sure retail therapy should be prescribed on the NHS :rotfl:
Lilb, your chinese is very cheap, what a bargain! Well done you on stretching it too! I tend to eat my portion and finish OH's tooI have an excuse, I don't like waste!! :rotfl:
TYO, we are both ok, thanks.. Just trying to move on slowly but surely.. You know me, if there are a few pounds to be made, I will be first on it..
Tonight will be OH's famous Sausage Casserole.. I will do the preps shortly, and let her put it together, while I watch the Canadian Grand Prix..
5 more sleeps till our holidays!! Not that I am counting..:o Can't wait for the sunny weather and tropical temperatures up there in Scotland!
Cheers

Enjoy the imac Froggy. It wasn't sin. You needed to replace your dying laptop. You got the product you wanted for a very competitive price by haggling, and you will get lots of use and enjoyment out of it. Those are good things. OPing the mortgage will still be possible in August - you can come back to doing it then.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Morning Froggy.
Lewis seems to have become too frustrated and is looking a liability these days
