He thought he'd got away with speeding at the time because he'd left no skid marks, but I assume the speed was recorded in the ECU, can't see how else they'd know.

I've seen some accident recreation stuff they do via punching in variables onto a computer.

Takes into account things like distance from point of exit (on road), length of skid marks, damage to body work (based on crash test data) and other crashes of the type, where bits have landed.

Had all sorts of other bobbins about if lights were on (something to do with how bulbs shatter when hot/cold).

Some new cars also do record the last 30 seconds of a journey on a constant loop i believe(?)

I might have just made that up though.

I'd be amazed if he didn't have to have his undies surgically removed from the !!!! clenching...
