What step to take next?

I have been sending letters back and forth to a well known holiday park in England (not sure if I can say what one?!) since we came back from the holiday from hell on the 31st May 2010.

Apparently they only have one incident report form about us, which is when we went to guest services to ask (again) for clean towels, bed sheets and other things.

They have no record of the incident report forms when our children were sick - in one of the restaurants, near the stage and in a cafe.

No records of them coming to clean the settee after one of the children were sick on that.

No records of our hot water breaking twice and them having to come out and fix it.

No records of resort safety coming out in the middle of the night with yet more towels, sheets etc because of the children being sick again.

Surely forms that we have filled out and signed can't just vanish??
I requested a copy of all the information that they have about myself, my partner and our 4 children. All they have sent me is our booking confirmation and the one incident report.

Is there anything that we can do?
Thanks.

Sounds like they went on holiday, kids were throwing up (on towels?!) and the hotel were good enough to send people out in the middle of the night to offer replacements.

No doubt they want to sue the hotel, but the hotel didn't keep a record of a child being sick. Because when a child has been sick on a sofa (great place to be sick) the first thing you want to do after cleaning it up is write an essay about it.

Our holiday was ruined and one of our children ended up in hospital because of mistakes that they have made, the manager at the time held his hands up and admitted it was their fault. Ideally I would like the weeks holiday that I paid for but with them denying all knowledge of any of it happening, it is making it very difficult! So I was hoping if we had copies of the incident report forms then that would help.

Er... no. When we got to the apartment, there was diarhhea/vomit in drawers, on towels, on floors and under one of the beds. The place was absolutely filthy. They said that they could not move us as they were full so they just cleaned the apartment.

Then 2 of my children came down with sickness and diarrhea, we were there for 7 days, we could not come home because it is a taxi, 3 trains and a bus home - not easy to do with 2 very ill children.

This went on throughout the week, our other 2 children came down with diarhhea we had to constantly ask for towels and clean sheets, all of the cleaners that were sent to us could barely understand English which made it very difficult. We had the manage out many times.

Our 2 year old ended up in hospital because of this, we have reports from the hospital, ambulance team, doctors and resort safety all saying that our children did not stand a chance of NOT catching this illness when the whole apartment was covered in it.

Also, I don't expect them to write an essay about my 2 year old being sick on a settee, however if they fill out incident report forms and ask us to sign them then I do expect them not to lose them.

    Hi,

Hope the children are feeling better - I assume that you did not take any photos of the place before they cleaned it?

I think in future, I would have refused point blank to stay & asked for my money back .... especially with 2 young kids ....

I would have been in the taxi before they could blink. If they showed you the apartment in this state, it obviously hadnt been checked or they've checked and didnt care...........just imagine what else they might not have checked/not cared about.
