Hi- I'd like to join you if I can. I'm going to be PAD-ing into a little money box I have until it adds up to a lump sum to send over to a savings account to offset my loan so I can pay my loan of early... and if you followed that then you did quite well! :rotfl: So I'm going to round up some loose change to put in my box now :)

    *edit*

£1.03 paid in which, when added to what was already in there, gives me £10.15 so far. :)

1 months payment is £155 so I am aiming for £155 to start with :) £144.85 to go....

Hello kdenty and laura:wave: Welcome to PAD:D

I've only been back padding for a little while, but everyone here is so nice and padding is sooooo addictive:rotfl:it really helps, and it really keeps me only the straight and narrow money wise:D
  • Hello laura & kdenty - happy pad-ing! I've only been pading for a week, but it's amazing how it becomes a way of life!

My PAD for today is £6.00 to the change jar please.
I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...

    This happens frequently! :rotfl::rotfl:

It is not unheard of for my eyebrows to completely grow back before I bother to start plucking them again! Which is silly, cos it's more effort to fully pluck them, than to just pluck a few every now and then.
I looooove plucking my eyebrows - I love the feel of it and I have to stop myself from going overboard sometimes :o

Hello I'm new to PADing. This looks like such a good idea and a very friendly thread to join. I hope you don't mind me joining in.

Welcome both! You will love it here! And well done on posting your pads in big, bright, colours - you will fit in just fine!!

Green, well done on not smoking! To all those highly irritated by x factor and I'm A Celeb... ME TOOO!!!!! They should send that stupid poo poker home if she can't do it and take the fee back - why on earth did she even agree to it!! And the x factor is becoming a joke, I can't even be bothered to watch it any more. There's nobody particularly likeable on there anyway.

I have a big pad to make today because my balance transfer has gone through - so a pad for me today of £2312.71 today  This means that I will pay no more interest on anything, and should have everything paid off by next May! I'm actually doing ok because £600 of the debt on there is actually my friend's - she's paying me back with a standing order over the next year so I'll have that coming in even though I'll have paid it off sooner. The other bit I've spent is for my Take That tickets and hotels, but i don't mind that :D

Anyway - totals to follow - and big pad news!!!

    xx

It could go either way but I'm not in a competition. I just want it to happen and I don't care whose watch it's on.:)
Half a million eh? That's one hell of a lot of debt busting. Something like £10k of that will be from me. Pity it's not more though. I'm just happy to pay what I can afford and put enough by to satisfy the taxman.
Sometimes it feels like I'm getting nowhere but that's because it's gradual for me.
A couple of years ago I was always near broke because I was struggling to meet minimum payments. One month I squeezed home by 30p. Things still feel like a struggle but with a difference. I'm meeting the minimum payments, having room for a few treats, and managing to put aside my tax money. That is a huge difference but it doesn't feel like it because the current account side of things is still tricky. I do use credit cards occasionally but only on things I regard as an investment in my small business. When I spend, it's with a view to earning more quickly in a few months time. I recently had an end of accounting year and managed a 8% rise over the previous year. In a few weeks I intend to spend about £250 on leaflets and target more profitable areas. That might take several months to pay for itself but it's ongoing.
