A woman was in town on a shopping trip. She began her day finding the most perfect shoes in the first shop and a beautiful dress on sale in the second. In the third, everything had just been reduced by 50 percent when her mobile phone rang. It was a female doctor notifying her that her husband had just been in a terrible car accident and was in critical condition and in the ICU.
The woman told the doctor to inform her husband where she was and that she'd be there as soon as possible. As she hung up she realised she was leaving what was shaping up to be her best day ever in the boutiques. She decided to get in a couple of more shops before heading to the hospital. She ended up shopping the rest of the morning, finishing her trip with a cup of coffee and a beautiful chocolate cake slice, compliments of the last shop. She was jubilant.
Then she remembered her husband. Feeling guilty, she dashed to the hospital. She saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about her husband's condition. The lady doctor glared at her and shouted,
'You went ahead and finished your shopping trip didn't you! I hope you're proud of yourself!
While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself in town, your husband has been languishing in the Intensive Care Unit! It's just as well you went ahead and finished, because it will more than likely be the last shopping trip you ever take! For the rest of his life he will require round-the-clock care. And he will now be your career!'
The woman was feeling so guilty she broke down and sobbed.
The lady doctor then chuckled and said, 'I'm just pulling your leg.

In the interests of not letting the team down I have padded £100 to my evil credit card today - I'm far too new to behave badly (yet!)0
-
I'm afraid I can only PAD 20p today - OH has just told me that he is going to order some protein drinks and as he is now driving over 3 hours a day to and from the job I suppose he deserves to spend a little of his earnings now and again:rotfl:
The bank a/c is very thin this week (car loan and cc payments along with pet insurance) but next week I will be able to make a better contribution to the 1/2mil.
Have a wonderful wedding Keza:j0 -
Every little helps JayJay! I'm only joking about the not eating, honest...
It's actually quite interesting to see how many people pad each day, I bet if you were [STRIKE]sad enough[/STRIKE] diligent enough to do some statistical analysis on the padding patterns it could be quite insightful!
Some PAD stats...
So far the busiest days for padding were the first and 2nd of the month when 22 people made a pad - not necessarily the same people mind (I haven't kept a register, just a list of payments).
The lowest day for padding so far this month was Saturday 6th November when only 12 people made an appearance.
Oh dear can you tell I'm bored!! :rotfl: I've just made chocolate cup cakes but am waiting for the Tesco delivery man to come so I can ice them... it could be a long wait as the delivery slot was 8-10

I PAD every day, even if it's a tiny-small amount as that way I know I'm focussed and making the effort. I think I've missed maybe one or two days in the last two years and that was by accident. Even if MSE exploded tomorrow I would keep it up as I think it is a really good habit to be in to help you save towards a goal.
Woo PAD!0
