  • Oh yeah.
Happy birthday for yesterday Mary :) .

My PAD for Monday is £212.80

That's my vehicle loan and a card payment.
I'm pretty certain that my vehicle loan is now finished (£200.84 x 60 payments).
Originally I had intended to trade it in for a brand new one once the loan was over. Generally it is viable to buy brand new with vans due to the tax relief etc. But that's £200 a month less I can pay out and hope that no big repairs become necessary (88,000 miles and will be 8 years old early next year). There will be a big pay out on it in February due to it being time for a major service and also MOT time. So I won't be putting the saved £200 to my other debts just yet. Instead I will just pay it in to a repairs pot.
So, nearly two years after starting to PAD, this is my first long term debt that has been repaid     .
Unfortunately, it also happens to be the one with the lowest interest rate - but as it was a personal loan with fixed repayments, there wasn't much I could do about that (I got it at 5.7%).

    Morning All!

    Hope you are all well.

No PAD from me today, but I am still pleased. I had my routine dental check up this morning. NO FILLINGS REQUIRED!!!! Wahooooo! Just a clean. :D Which means.....for once, my savings won't be wiped out by dental costs! At bl00dy last!

I've also called Halifax this morning and told them to close the account, rather than increase the interest. Last time I called, they kept it open at the same rate anyway. No such luck this time, but that's fine. I haven't spent on it in over a year anyway. And am hoping to start making more of a dent on that one from the end of this month onwards! Whoop! Whoop!

    Have good days everyone!
