  • It did, thanks! We got incredibly lucky with the weather considering that our reception shindig was in a field near some woodland. The fireworks were massive, the bonfire warm and no teeth were lost on the trampolines! So I count that a winner :D

Now I just have to pay out a fortune to change the name on all my paperwork. Grrr. 7 years left on my passport and they'll only carry 9 months over. Thieves. And £25 to get a photocopy certified??? What's that all about?? :(

awww Thrifty, so glad it went well for you and it sounds like a wonderful day :D

Yep, they certainly know how to sting you!

OK, so here's a money saving tip if you are getting married in 2012. Free fireworks if you get married near an Olympic venue in July....:rotfl::rotfl::money:

That is such a good idea... :rotfl:

Wow - trampolines and drunkenness sounds like an excellent combination! If you have 7 years on your passport can't you just book holidays in your maiden name till it runs out then change it when it expires? I certainly wouldn't be giving the robbing b*stards all that money!

My pad for today is £1.74 please. I've just noticed we are halfway through September and I haven't even changed my sig - can't be bothered now so will do it at some point!

    xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

  • Evening all, a small £1 for me today please. Am still awaiting my expenses (this will finish soon as i only have a couple more mentoring meetings left), which will be paying for a friends birthday meal but anything left over I can pad. God it's depressing waiting for each payday so I can see my debt amount reduce by a teeny amount. Fingers crossed I hear from the caring job soon and that will help reduce the total a lot!
