Best Way To Keep Carrots Fresh

When i buy a bunch of carrots they always go bad in a few days . What is the best way to keep them fresh for as long as possible ?

You can get those salad bags that keep veg fresh for longer. I got mine from QVC but I think Lakeland do them too.

Fresh carrots keep best in the fridge, on kitchen paper to absorb moisture. I find they last for weeks like this but go wrinkly and bendy in a couple of days if left in a veg rack at room temperature.
The traditional way is to keep them dry, cool and in the dark by keeping them in sand, newspaper or straw in an unheated room or in a clamp outdoors.0 -
If the skins of carrots get black patches just peel them. The black is purely on the surface and the carrot is still fine to eat.0
