No Littlewoods Bill in July - Next month Bill Shock

I have been waiting for my Littlewoods bill this month, nothing came at all. Each month the bill comes 2 weeks before its due to be paid, I always pay on time. This month nothing off Littlewoods. I just my account online and next month they want £47.76 off me! Now I am not to blame here, they didn't send me a bill. I have emailed them but what can I do about this? I am not working now and it's hard to pay the £18 I pay every month. I am not paying £47.76 when its down to them for sending bills each month, I pay my bills over the counter at the post office. Any advice would be good.

they may send bills but at the end of the day I suspect they will say that your account is your responsibility and if you knew you had to pay £18 why didn't you pay it anyway? The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

Like I said I dont pay it over the internet, I use the post office. They have to send the bill out so I can pay it. And if you dont get a bill it makes you wonder if you stopped paying it?? I should have checked it sooner but come on, they send bills out like most compaines and so its half and half. Why blame me here?0 -
Why blame me here?
you have a duty to pay for what you have ordered. If you cant afford to pay what you owe, thats your faultI should have checked it sooner
There you go, youve admitted its your fault.
You have ordered goods, you have a duty pay for them at the agreed terms ( monthly), its the same with council tax, credit cards etc etc- if you use them you have to pay.0 -

Unfortunately for you it is not half and half, it is your fault as you as you admit should have checked earlier. Letters get lost in the post all the time remember.
You will have to appeal to their better nature on this one if you have been a good payer they may take the charges back. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If your bill has a barcode on it (usually on the side i believe) then you could have used old bills. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
You admit you knew it was late or missing but chose not to put the money aside. Why not blame you there? Any regular payments are subject to the occasional glitch. You would always expect to have to pay the missing or late instalment in additional to the next regular one.
If you don't have the self-discipline then, as unholyangel says, you can normally make arbitrary payments whenever you like with older bills.0 -

But you know that they nromally send a bill every month and you either ignored this or forgot! Either way you were in an agreement to pay so much every month and have had the benefit, though with doubt, of not having to pay an installment.
Tough as life is, you are also responsible for keeping the agreement and the fact it may be in the till at the Dog and Duck is immaterial.0 -
What did you do with the money you were going to pay last Months bill with??0
