I saw a program on TV a few weeks ago in which Martin Lewis sugested renting out some of your home items like your car.
I dont want to rent out my car as I need it all the time with the kids, although it would make them walk more if I did LOL
But I do have a very cluttered home including every DIY tool imaginable that hubby has bought over the years. We have scafolding towers in the garage, cement mixers and Im sure every DIY tool from B&Q
If I wanted to rent all this stuff out I could nearly have a tool hire shop and wondered if anyone knew a practical way of doing it

I think you would get into all sorts of problems with insurance issues etc
eg, if someone injures themselves using some of your equpment...who is liable? Who is liable if the equipment is damaged or goes missing?0 -
No it wont be a problem you can get insurance for it easily and cheaply . Ive rented out loads of stuff I dont use on a website called tikoobu and make an average of £70 per month0

I have also used this site to rent my 2 cycles out. They have been rented for the summer by a couple who could not afford the £600 to buy 2 bikes so I made and they saved.
This type of site has a real place in our future as money gets even tighter and fuel keeps getting more expensive people will rent and not buy for those things they only use for a short time each year. tikooBu makes renting so simple for all. You can even rent a friend on it. Hows that? Someone to take to the pub with no ties.0
