EEEK!! What do you do if the waste from your new loo is 1/2 in lower?!?!

Right, I'm plumbing in the new loo today, things are generally going fine BUT the outflow on the new loo is half an inch (if that) lower. The plan is to lay laminate flooring once the rest of the work is done and the new tiles are up (next week) which will raise it to the right height, but can I just put the new loo on chocks until then? Please don't tell me to put the old loo back on, because I think it's too late for that  Am madly searching the forum in case this has happened to any one else ...

Had to do something similar myself years ago using a lump of sufficiently sized wood.
As a purely temporary measure I see no reason why not as long as the seal(s) are not breached or stressed on the water inlet waste outlet and overflow.
You will have to make sure the thing isnt to wobbly though dont want anyone falling off

am going to get a flexible fit connector once the little one wakes up so that at least we'll have a loo tonight - I'm glad I'm doing it myself as I know NOTHING about how our house works, but just for a second I panicked!!!!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0

It will be fine on a block of wood, perhaps a piece of plywood, use a flexible pan connector - http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=17529&ts=69831 and ensure that the toilet is screwed down.0
