About unauthorised overdraft charges (RBS)...

I have accidentally gone £4.87 over my overdraft limit. I have a Graduate Royalties account with RBS. This hasn't happened to me before... from looking on the net, I'm guessing I'm going to be charged £15? Is this correct?

Also, how do you pay the charge? Do they just take it out when your account is next credited with money? Because I'm not going to have anything going in until next week...

thanks in advance

According to the website it is £10. They will give you notice in your next statement.

If you phone the bank, say it was an oversight, talk sweetly and ask them to cancel the charge......
there is a good chance they will do it (as you are a "first-time-offender").

so I haven't yet heard anything from the bank, but today I signed in to Digital Banking and it seems a £30 payment I made via PayPal is no longer there, and I now I have £25-ish "available". Do you think they've just reversed the £30 PayPal payment without telling me?
