:)When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free:money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :)

Morning ladies!
Am up and ready early as today I don't have to fight to get DD dressed - DM is here looking after her.
My list is as follows:-
- Have a calmer, less stressful day at work today
- Take snacks and lunch in from home
- Rejig budget to see where I am
- Try sell one purge today, am doing well!
- Do some onepoll
- Not a lot else!

Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Morning all - thanks to Josie for starting us off.

Up early waiting for the new fridge to be delivered - Currys sent a text saying it will arrive between 7am and 11am - so you can guarantee that if I stayed in bed it would have arrived at 7am but now I'm up it'll be 2pm!

    Other stuff to do today....
    • Install new fridge (they're taking away the old one thankfully)
    • Get sis up and ready for the day later on (bit early yet!)
    • Put coolbox back in attic when we have a functional fridge
    • Take library book back - 2 days late but I hadn't finished it and couldn't renew as someone was waiting for it
    • Transfer £5 Amazon sale money to savings to start replenishing the mega spends I've had to make this month
    • Check banks
    • Check ebay
    • Check quidco
    • Tidy downstairs loo/cloakroom - didn't manage this yesterday
    • Ordered some more libray books after checking out what was on sale in Mr T
    • All food from stores - spag bol for the carnivores, quorn meatballs for me for tea
    • Tidy kitchen
    • Maybe mow back lawn if the rain holds off (OH has developed a bad back and "can't" do it) - hope the pollen doesn't kill me!
    • Fiddle with meal plan for next week to try to minmise spends - 2 more weeks until I get paid - very hard not getting paid at all in July!
    • Phone Vodafone about new contract and phone
    • Maybe sand down paintwork inen-suite bathroom
That's all for today - will also try to find something free/very cheap to do with sis after fridge arrives, was thinking a walk in the park with the dog but not if its raining.

    Have a good day!

    Morning everyone,

Soooo tired today :(... feeling fed up with the whole debt thing this morning. I seem to be ok and really positive until about a week before pay day every month - reality kicks in and realise we've over spent again. Hey ho, next month is another month - just have to try again.

    Anyway, enough of my moans...

    My list for today: -
    • HM rolls and egg mayo with salad for lunch
    • NSD (hopefully manage without a scone today :))
    • check surveys
    • check on-line banking
    • OH staying at home with DS today so doesn't need car so we'll save on the double journey to my work (24 miles round trip)
    • tea out of freezer per meal plan
    • make HM bread tonight
That's me for now... have a good day everyone :) x

    Afternoon All :hello:

Spring is beginning to arrive here.......well it's warmer now so I'm happy!

    Today I have/will:
    • been to my voluntary job, teaching book-keeping to the office staff in an orphanage.
    • they fed me too :j(fried chicken though :naughty:)
    • watered where I planted seeds yesterday - nothing showing yet :o
    • read Martins e-mail
    • Did a wash - a hot wash, but line dried
    • done one session on the cross trainer - will do another later
    • have leftovers for supper :D
    • will finish knitting the shrug today for definite! Only 2 inches of rib to do (200+ stitches though) :)
    • read the papers on-line - keep forgetting to include this, but it does save me buying newspapers, I can even do the Sudokus.:p
    • asked DD to post out some of the mail that I really need to reply to - we went through the heap at the weekend, so not everything. Most of the stuff can be done on-line.
    • catch up on correspondence - a friend has just lost her step-dad so must write to her.

Have a great day everybody :A
