Hi,
I am looking for a 1gb mp3 player and the Creative Zen V has caught my eye.
Looking at the specs for this player it states that...
"Minimum PC specification Intel Pentium 3 1ghz, AMD Duron 1ghz, win XP(sp1+)/ XP 64git, 256mb ream, 170gb free HDD space- or higher CD-rom drive and USB 1.1."
Does this mean that my pc, processor AMD Duron 700hz, will not be able to ttransfer mp3 files to this player ?
thanks

The specs may refer to MP3 conversion or utility software that comes with the player.
You should just be able to plug your player in, install any drivers required and it will show up as a removable device.
EDIT: Just looked at the specs and it does say Windows XP, so there may not be drivers for other OS.

Find out if this MP3 player has 'drag and drop' and will work without the special software. If so it may well work with older versions of windows as iut will just be seen as an external hard disk. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0

you should be alright with the system you have, but it will be slow and tempremental to use, suggest you buy a faster processor from ebay, it is a socket A mother board, just find out what the max fsb it will handle and buy a suitable replacement.Scottish proverb - "Never drink whisky with water and never drink water without whisky"0
