I've never been to a civil ceremony with an order of service.
Do you mean an order of the day?Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -

If that is what you want though OP, then it can just be something quite simple - like this http://www.lovelyinvitations.co.uk/Order%20of%20Day.jpg
jazz it up with borders and embellishments if you want, but that is the information that the guests will need. Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
Erm why cant u have an order of service for a civil.... I am!
We're still having a ceremony, so why not tell the guests what order it will be in! We're still having readings etc
I'm also having a seperare order of day so people know whats happening when. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Glad you started this as I was also wondering

Order of service means the list of prayers and hymns of a church service, for a wedding or funeral.
A civil ceremony can't contain anything religious, so 'order of service' isn't used for that. Like the others have said, it's normally then called an 'order of the day'.
I'd check with your registrar too that you can have that wording.

Hi, the details sent by our registrar have 'order of service', sorry if i have confused everyone. But yep I want it to contain our readings and song choices, so no different to church, apart from its not religious.....?!

It'll be an order of the day then won't it, to contain what's happening at certain times?
Order of service would be for the service/ceremony, but you don't want yours to just contain the info for the ceremony do you?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
