I brought my sweets from bridaltales.co.uk but having problems finding jars! I'm also going to have little ivory pails with sweets on the table's but thought a sweetie table would look really fun!
The sweets are really cheap I'm buying 1 kg for £9.99.

Just found this thread and wondered if people found any more bargain stuff? Toying with a sweetie table at the night-do as OH has the world's sweetest tooth and thought it would be a nice surprise for him if I could arrange cheaply on the quiet.0

I've just been on the hunt at car boot sales buying glass bowls and jars to use. I have also been saving douwe egberts coffee jars as they look like old fashioned sweetie jars and the lids are glass too. I haven't yet found any cheap alternatives to scoops and haven't sourced sweets as i am waiting to see if our budget will allow it but 50p here and there for now on the jars and bowls isn't breaking the bank.0

We were out today and notice some jars that would be really good for our sweet buffet table in B&M bargains. There are big one 2 for £3 or £1.99 each and small ones 2 for £150 or 99p each.
Eeek...I'll just take the one for 99p!! :rotfl::eek::rotfl:
I've found some lovely looking scoops - I'm not sure how big they are though. The website says 5oz and 12oz. But for only £2.25 and £2.85 they might be worth a try.

12oz is huge.... It will hold about as much as a bag of sugar, possibly more... Get a measuring jug or scales and weigh it out to get an idea of volume??I love surprises!0

Woops I definately wouldn't pay that much for jars lol
12oz is massive I am going to order some of the bath salt scoops soon to get an idea of their size see if they are okayGetting married Wednesday 24th August 2011!

We're not having one but I noticed some big ribbed jars with lids today in our local 99p store (https://www.99pstoresltd.com has a store locater) that would be good. I'm looking for just the right jars for my centerpieces and if they'd been smooth sided not ribbed they would have been just perfect, ah well.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
