ICICI HiSave password delay?

Hi all,

I've recently decided to start an ICICI HiSave account. Having got confirmation via email that my initial deposit had been successfully added to my new account, I would now like to add a little more. However, I am still yet to recieve my online password. ICICI indicate it should come thru snail mail soon after opening the account. I've been waiting at least a week and a half which seems very slow.

Can anyone confirm how long it took for their password to arrive as I'm a little concerned that mine may be lost in the post?!!!

It took just over two weeks for me, although that was way back when the account launched and they were having big problems. In any case, I wouldn't panic yet.

I have just received my password about a week after sending in my cheque to open the account.

On a related matter - I have just gone to log-in and notice that the site asks for log-in ID and FULL password. With other banks it only asks for random parts of your password....it's got me wondering just how secure the log-in for ICICI bank is???

Any tips? I was just going to make a transfer into the account but now I'm actually considering closing my account down because of it.
