cavity wall insulation

i'm pretty sure this is the wrong place to put this so if someone could kindly move it I would really appreciate it
I've just been told that if me or my husband earn less than £16000 ( not jointly )
then we could be eligible for free cavity wall insulation
I'm not convinced surely its got to be £16000 between us ???
plus does anyone know a price for cavity wall insulation and loft insulation does it depend on the size of your house

It will be a combined amount and you would probably also have to be on a means tested benefit. If you are in England contact Warm front who will be able to assess you.

Don't know if anyone else has experienced this but...... I seem to be getting at least two phone calls a week at the moment from various bodies who are "just checking that I'm getting my grants for cavity wall and loft insulation" - I keep telling them that we don't qualify for a grant but it doesn't seem to stop the calls!!
