The old shower is 8.5k , is there a way i can check the wiring im pretty sure when it was fitted he used the highest rating cable it is very thick cable that's used and its wired up with its own rcd in the consumber box
I looked on the redring site but couldn't see this particular shower i presume they have slightly changed the look of it, whats your model number ?

I bought one from Aldi's last year which was a Galaxy electric shower. I have had previously a 10.5kW shower and the Galaxy which was a 9.5kW and I can honestly say that I could not tell the difference in the 1kW.
The heat exchanger in the Galaxy shower seems very good and you do get a fairly powerful shower.
Please ensure that the shower is installed professional; 9.5kW and 10.5kW shower should be installed with RCD and 10mm2 T+E cable
Apologies, I was sure it was 13kw but I am mistaken, we have the Mira sport max which is 10.8kw. So on that basis my first post was rubbish!!

The current Aldi shower looks exactly like a Creda Florida Plus, not a Galaxy nor a Redring.0

Yes it does, but they are all part of the same company anyway

Well spotted, you are both right and wrong.
I assumed the Redring model hadn't changed and gave a link to the newer model by mistake. My Redring Expression model is definitely the same as the Aldi.
They must have rebadged it now as the Creda that you mention. Redring and Creda are both part of Applied Energy.

I/ve got the Creda Florida + which is identical, £30 more expensive, and is fine. Wish this had been about a month ago when I bought it!
